Smily AI sits inside Ranksmile and can work the product with you: run the analyses, read the results, and do the writing that follows from them.

It is the counterpart to the MCP server. MCP lets an outside assistant read your data; Smily works inside the app, where it can act as well as read.

What it can do

Run the analyses a module would run, read what came back, and take the next step from it: researching a topic, drafting against a brief, scoring the draft, and proposing the changes that would close the gaps.

The useful version of this is not "write me an article". It is the chain: find what is missing, understand why a page is not competing, and produce something aimed at the specific gap. Each of those steps is a module, and Smily is what runs them in sequence without you moving between tabs.

Where it helps most

Work that spans modules. A question like "which of our pages is closest to competing, and what would it take" touches the audit, the scores and the keyword data. Answering it by hand means three tabs and a note.

Reading a breakdown. A content score breakdown is precise and dense. Asked about a specific page, Smily reads it and says what matters.

You approve what publishes

Smily proposes. Nothing goes live without a person saying so, the same rule that applies to Auto-Optimize.

Getting a good answer

Be specific about the page and the question. "Why is this page not ranking for this term" is answerable from the data in your account. "How do I do SEO" is not, and the answer will be generic because the question was.

Give it the target query when you have one. Most analysis in Ranksmile is relative to a query, and a page assessed against the wrong one produces a confident, useless result.

Where it connects

Every module. It is a way of working with them rather than a separate feature, which is also why there is not much more to configure: if you can do it in the app, it is in scope.
